Craig Monahan is a retired teacher and coach at Swan Valley High School and has been a Thomas Township Parks Commissioner 10 years. Previous to his teaching career that began in 1994, Craig was the Parks & Recreation Director in Thomas Township from 1983-1993. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Saginaw Valley State University. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and past president of the Shields Kiwanis.
Craig and his wife Debbie have three children. Debbie is also an educator and works as an Elementary School Teacher for Saginaw Public Schools.

Nathan is the SCTE LMC Vice president and a Hybrid Fiber Coax Technical Supervisor. He is also a member of the Freeland lions club, Hopevale Church and on the Executive committee of the SCRP.
Nathan has lived in Thomas township with his wife and three children for the past ten years. He enjoys Volunteering, Hunting, Fishing, Golf, and most of all spending time with his family.

Tara is a lifelong resident of Thomas Township, where she resides with her husband and two children.
She previously served as a Park Commissioner for Thomas Township Parks.
Tara began her role in Thomas Township as a seasonal worker for the Parks and Recreation Department.
Tara currently teaches in the Swan Valley School System as an elementary teacher at Shields Elementary.

Katie is the Medical Rehabilitation Program Executive for Health Source Saginaw. Katie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University (Dec. 2001) and a Master of Arts degree in from Eastern Michigan University (Dec. 2003). She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and has Michigan state licensure. Katie has dedicated over 10 years to supporting the Swan Valley School district through volunteer services in fundraising and classroom service. Katie received special recognition earning the friend of education award in June 2015. Katie has also volunteered her time serving the Thomas Township Parks & Recreation program since 2011. Katie resides in Thomas Township with her husband Tom and two sons, Thomas and Trenton.
