Thomas Township has a noise ordinance that makes it unlawful to operate noise producing instruments, sound amplifying equipment and devices such as radios, phonographs or stereo equipment during the nighttime, which is 10 p.m. – 7 a.m., and in such a manner as to disturb the peace of a neighborhood. It is also unlawful to operate an excessively noisy motor vehicle or motorcycle. It is unlawful to operate power tools and equipment, lawn or garden tools, snow blower etc. except in an emergency during the nighttime (10 p.m. – 7 a.m.).
If you wish to file a complaint, call Saginaw Central Dispatch (9-1-1 or 989-797-4580) for a police response or you may go to the Police Department to file a complaint in person. Violators will be prosecuted if you are willing to sign the complaint and appear in court.
